Comments

For this environmental installation, I tried to reveal historical, social, environmental environment, domain of the Provostship, located in a village from the north of France, where I domiciled again and again during almost one year. From traces found on place and from stories gleaned to the inhabitants of the village, I established a possible history of the place. The installation which results from it makes state of armed conflicts witness of which was the region, and probably also domain, from which the brushwood would have sheltered a military camping during war. The installation transposes so a certain number of military faces into pacified objects (the crushed plane is a shack, the blockhouse a point of observation of the landscape). I drew a book, which became opportunity to go through the place and to feel outlines, to grab my progression. Especially, it creates a visual environment in which cross the features of a landscape and historical, peculiar, human events, which manufacture it.

Edition

Two publications are appeared following the installation.
